Greg, holds a Master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain from the University of Sydney and is an experienced Customs Broker with 35 years in the industry. He values strong relationships, believing they are essential and require time and care to develop. At Southern Cross Cargo, Greg is dedicated to fostering team development and creating growth opportunities, taking great satisfaction in helping his staff reach their full potential. Paul Angel

Director

As one of our directors, Paul brings over 40 years industry experience. He has held several CEO positions at multi-national Freight Forwarders and is considered a leader in the industry. He has a keen interest in leveraging people and IT processes to ensure efficiency and productivity across the business. He is dedicated to building a sustainable business as well as building a strong team of people and investing in their future careers. His ultimate inspiration is to ensure that everyone we engage with prospers.

Aaron De Luca

Brisbane Branch Manager

Aaron brings over 20 years of experience in air and sea freight to the role. He began his career at Vanguard in March 2003 as a runner, quickly transitioning to operations six months later. In September 2004, Aaron joined Southern Cross Cargo as an operator, becoming an invaluable team member. His connection to the company runs deep, as his father, Gino, founded Southern Cross Cargo, ensuring it remains connected to its roots since its inception.

Customer Service Manager

June is a valued member of the Customer Service Team, with over 20 years of industry experience. June has worked across various sectors of the freight forwarding industry, including key account management, air and sea import/export, cross-trade operations, and customer service management. Always ready to tackle new challenges, June is committed to helping clients stay ahead in an ever-evolving supply chain environment.

Mark Kleiden

National Operations Manager

Mark joined Southern Cross Cargo in 2021, bringing with him 20 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry. He began his freight career at GEFCO as their Time Critical Solutions Supervisor, later advancing to Air Operations Manager. With extensive experience in both imports and exports, Mark has handled air and sea freight with expertise. In his role as National Operations Manager, he relishes new challenges and driving operational excellence.

Simon Pepper

Customs Manager

Simon started his career 25 years ago as a Documentation Courier, better known in the industry as a “runner” and worked his way to being a fully licenced Customs Broker in 2003. With 25 years of Logistics Experience and over 20 years as a licenced Customs Broker. Simon has worked in a very wide range of fields within the industry from High Volume Low Value Parcel Clearances to Multi-Million Dollar Projects. Verifying Overseas supply Chain integrity and Chain of Responsibility requirements, Desktop Audits, Tariff Advice and Refund Applications, Simon has a great deal of knowledge and experience that is utilised by our clients. Simon is passionate about helping our clients understand the Customs and Logistics landscape to help make informed decisions about their business.

Suzie Ioannou

Brisbane Warehouse Manager

Suzie has over 25 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, focusing on both imports and exports. She spent 7 years at GEFCO handling import/export operations and later became the Transport Manager at Emmjay Warehouse in Blacktown, where she managed a fleet of 9 drivers, assisted with unloading heavy haulage vehicles, organised driver runs, and supported warehouse tasks like stocktaking and customer service. In August 2023, Southern Cross Cargo welcomed Suzie to the role of Warehouse Manager.

Jerald Menezes

National Logistics Manager

Jerald is an experienced Warehouse and Distribution Manager with over 40 years of expertise across a diverse range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, FMCG, frozen foods, and building materials. Throughout his career, Jerald has successfully set up four distribution centres from the ground up and co-owned a third-party logistics (3PL) operation. His key strength lies in creating streamlined and efficient operations, while fostering a collaborative and harmonious work culture. Passionate about building systems that enhance productivity, Jerald is dedicated to creating positive environments that drive long-term success.

He holds a Diploma in Stores Management and Stock Control from the College of Professional Management, U.K., earned in 1985, and has an academic background in Accounts, Commerce, and Economics from St. Philomena College, India.
