Southern Cross Cargo UN Global Compact Membership

Southern Cross Cargo is proud to be part of the UN Global Compact Australia. We strongly believe that businesses have a crucial role to play in driving sustainable solutions.  As a logistics company, we recognise that it is not enough to simply minimise our negative impact; rather we strive to actively engage in transformative systems and processes with a goal to become one of the most sustainable logistics providers.  By aligning ourselves with the guiding principals of the UN, we demonstrate our commitment to integrating sustainability into our core business operations.  We understand that sustainable business practices are essential for the wellbeing of our planet and future generations and we embrace the opportunity to lead by example in the logistics industry.

Through our membership in the UN Global Compact Australia, we join a network of likeminded businesses dedicated to making positive contributions and working collectively towards a sustainable future. 

SCC is currently participating in the Climate Accelerator Program – which is using Science based targets to report on Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions with a view to measuring, reporting and reducing.

All of our staff have access to the UN Global Compact Academy to advance training in all areas of sustainable business development – this is a fantastic resource covering all things such as bribery and corruption, diversity, climate change, ocean protection, biodiversity, small business support.
