August Newsletter 2018

Welcome to our August newsletter, with our business growing we are very pleased to be sharing some changes with you, all of which in their own way are adding value to our customers and allowing us to continue to offer great services.

As we alluded to in our last newsletter we are going live August 1st with our new operating software Cargowise. While we do not foresee any downtime in our operations, you will notice a change in the presentation of our documents going forward. The functionalities are numerous, including online order and shipment tracking, management of shipments by key milestones, significant amount of reports to help you run your business, warehousing module to compliment our services in this space and many more. An added benefit for our operations is that many of our international and local partners also use the same software, which will allow us to connect shipments and transmit data faster. Please let us know if you would like to have a demonstration of the order tracking functionality and one of our team will happily come and show you.

SOUTHERN CROSS CARGOON THE MOVE

BRISBANE OFFICE ON THE MOVE SATURDAY 18TH AUGUST

It seems we don’t like biting change off in small chunks so we are adding an office move into August as well. With our own internal growth we have elected to move to a larger office in Capalaba, the move has also been prompted by better access to 4G data which is 3-4 times faster than our Bulimba address, the new location is also in mid NBN rollout. This is necessary for us to properly run our new operating system Cargowise in the cloud. At this new location we will also have our own small warehouse attached, allowing us to hold shipments for customers when required. Again, with a lot of preparation going into the move we do not foresee any major downtime in our operations and we look forward to supporting you from our new location as of mid-August.
