SCC warehouse digital investment is now live

With every initiative and enhancement, we make at SCC it must past a few key tests, does it give back time to our customers and is it more efficient for our staff?

We are pleased to report that our warehouse team led by SCC Director Paul Angel and Warehouse Manager Suzi Ioannou has implemented our new warehouse management system (WMS) into our purpose-built eCommerce facility located in Brisbane. It has been tested and passes our time and efficiency needs.

For our customers, the new WMS provides:

• Significant amount of customisation to ensure the system works in the most efficient and effective manner for each individual client.
• Fully integrated Shopify interface that follows Shopify’s new Fulfillment App workflow. This provides automated updates on the fulfillment status of all order lines, along with a daily inventory sync that ensures the inventory in Shopify matches the inventory held in our warehouse.
• Enhanced integration with Australia Post, that allows the automated creation of Standard and Express consignments for both domestic and international deliveries.
• A new and improved client portal that allows clients to view orders, receipts, and inventory directly in our system.
• Most importantly it is here to give our clients more time, allowing them to focus on their sales marketing and product development.

For the SCC team, the new WMS provides:

• A pick path algorithm that combines orders into batches for picking based on the vicinity of each pick item to each other.
• The Pick ticket and Australian Post label is now a combined label, removing the need to create a separate label and reducing waste as the Pick tickets were disposed of once the order had been picked.
• Enhanced visibility to client’s stock levels.
• Dashboard visibility across all clients in our warehouse.
